My Weekend To-Do List // July 2016

old fashioned summer funIt’s been a week, amiright? Here’s what Priss & Vinegar has lined up for a (hopefully) more tranquil weekend:

Have a drink, because Friday.

Currently at the top of my must-try list of adult beverage purveyors are local newcomers Temescal Brewing (“well behaved children & dogs welcome”), Woods Island Club (a sandy beach bar on Treasure Island, you guys!), and fancy craft cocktail joint Rockridge Improvement Club.

Make some old-fashioned summer fun.

Think water balloons, homemade popsicles, and playing tag in your backyard. Simple summer pleasures FTW.

There WILL be cooking projects.

Every weekend I tell myself I’m going to make gravlax and can plum strawberry jam, but this time I mean it. Swear.

Line up some primo nap time.

Exhausting our children thoroughly so they take monster afternoon naps is kind of my husband’s and my favorite sport. Our current go-to’s are trampolining at the House of Air and lapping the weird, wonderful attractions at Children’s Fairyland.

Is that what I think it is?

Have a giggle at Twitter’s very best responses to the sexy new Trump-Pence logo, because they’re legendary.
