Hi! I’m Heather. Priss & Vinegar began five years ago when I was a newlywed with a baby on the way and a century-old Edwardian flat to restore. I’d always been a Martha girl, but this was the big show: wife. mother. homeowner.
What began as a personal journal about creating a beautiful life for my family has grown into a frank and irreverent conversation about motherhood, marriage, style and culture. This is not, however, a magazine, and I kind of love that about Priss & Vinegar. These are real meals I cook for my actual children; real parties I throw for our friends & family in our un-styled home; and the places and things I treasure most presented without agenda or inducement.
I believe in stripes, hair bows, hot sauce, RBG, and that your brain doesn’t switch to the “OFF” position just because you decide to stay home with your children. West Coast prep is my jam and keeping it real is my everything. So grab a G&T and stay a while. I can assure you: there will be cheese.
I am a lawyer by trade, writer at heart, and housewife by accident. My work has been featured on Freshly Pressed and The Good Men Project. I reside in Piedmont, California with my East Coast preppy husband our three young children. I’d be delighted to hear from you at heather@prissandvinegar.com. Thank you so much for reading. Really. Your time is precious and I’m honored you spend it with me.
