Is it July already? Good grief! We have missed all of you terribly and are delighted to have a moment to fill you in on our terrific summer. It has truly been a season of celebration — take a peek!
We celebrated the Hus-b’s first Father’s Day with brunch at Zuni Cafe, which was delicious per usual and surprisingly kid-friendly. The Little Lady recommends the polenta, rabbit salad and a side order of crayons. (Apparently she’s not quite ready for coloring.)

While this development may ultimately prove to be the end of our already-fraying sanity, we are proud to announce that the Little Lady is *walking*. (And running, but that’s only when she’s done something naughty. YES, we officially have a toddler.)
The Hus-b and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary with a romantic getaway at Cavallo Point. We came away refreshed and completely convinced of Cavallo Point’s specialness, remarkable when you consider that we were only 15 minutes away from our front door. All in all, a massive improvement over our first anniversary when we were 37 weeks pregnant, moving, *and* there was heat wave on…
Our dear baby recently turned one and we marked the occasion with a preppy pool party complete with seersucker striped linens, homemade barbecue for 60, and a faceful of buttercream frosting. More photos and details about the glorious event forthcoming!
Fourth of July was a relaxed, small-town affair this year. We attended the charming Sonoma town parade, splashed in a swimming pool, and dined al fresco with our family. It’s hard to believe that, on the very same day last year, we brought our newborn Little Lady home from the hospital!
There’s so much more we’re eager to share — our latest attempts at canning, *finally* losing all of the baby weight, our newest crushes, fresh recipes we’ve been enjoying, our continuing series “Welcoming the Stork”, and the latest adventures of our favorite subjects, the Hus-b and our oh-so-busy Little Lady. Summer doesn’t get much sweeter!

Hey outstanding website! Does running a blog similar to
this take a great deal of work? I have very little expertise in programming however I had been hoping to start my own blog in
the near future. Anyways, should you have any ideas or techniques for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off subject but I simply had to ask.
Cheers!
